![]() The recent decisions about the purple screen, the automated mid-rolls should've been a good enough hint about this. However what is happening is stubborn decisions from above forcing Twitch to employ drastic measures for a quick buck. This also supports the streamer as a whole because content isn't broken by those, be it in the middle of a stream with mid-rolls, or at the start with pre-rolls. This doesn't cut out content unwillingly, people can opt to click it whenever they feel like doing so, or at the right time. This actually gives an incentive to "click" on the ad, thus driving the actual "interest" towards the ad, even for a personal gain. People with subs/Twitch Turbo can disable these banners, or reactivate them if they wish so for that stream, helping their favorite streamer out by clicking on it. BUT if you click on the actual ad, the ad takes the place of the content with a fullview ad (like we currently have), and supports the streamer more than with the usual banner view.
